An eight-week-old puppy was brutally beaten, burned alive, and then left to die in a park.

The RSPCA Victoria is reaching out for information for the person responsible for this heinous crime.

The kelpie puppy had been found by a Good Samaritan in a Melbourne, Victoria Park on Wednesday evening and was then rushed to the Animal Accident and Emergency (AAE) in Point Cook.

The veterinary team believe that the puppy had been beaten several days prior. They did everything they could to save her, but her injuries were too severe. She had a swollen mouth and had been burned.

RSPCA Victoria Senior Inspector Daniel Bode said that there was no way the dog had suffered in silence. Someone out there knows something or saw what happened.
