Puppy mills are one of the worst animals images we can imagine. They keep dogs in inhumane conditions, often forcing them to have litters 2 to 3 times a year. They devastate a dog’s mental and physical health.
In July 2014, dog trainer Victoria Stilwell took part in an operation to bust one such puppy mill that had been operating in Georgia since the 1980s. The Cherokee County Animal Shelter and Cherokee County Marshal’s Office raided the puppy mill that kept over 500 dogs in terrible conditions.
When all was said and done, around 526 dogs were taken away from the horrible conditions of the puppy mill and taken to a local animal shelter in an attempt to get each and every last one of these fluffy babies a loving “forever home.”
Thankfully, the whole community showed up on adoption day, and all the dogs from all puppy mills ended up finding their own special place to call home!
To make matters even more amazing, the evil monsters in charge of the puppy mill were found guilty of 25 charges of animal cruelty and were sentenced to 25 years in jail.
