This is a poor animal that fell into a pool of tar. Believe it or not, the dog is still alive.

Animal Aid Unlimited is a rescue center, sanctuary, and hospital for all the injured and sick street animals in India. Each year, they rescue thousands of animals and give them a second chance at life.

Jim, Erika, and Claire Abrams-Myers founded and now direct Animal Aid. They moved from Seattle to India nearly 15 years ago and lived right next door to the shelter. They had done a lot of traveling and were always struck by the number of hurt and sick animals on the streets in India.

This family founded Animal Aid in 2012 and haven’t regretted it. They now have a 4-acre area and can house 250 animals for treatment. They also have a staff of 50 full-time volunteers from around the world! Since 2015, they have helped treat over 50,000 animals!
